Weight loss solutions that have worked for people considerably overweight?

I am 20 years old and have struggled with weight issues my whole life.

After my pregnancy in 2006, I never lost much weight and now am considerably overweight.

I’m 5′7 and around 250 pounds. I am not looking for a “quick and easy” solution but something with long-term results for a large amount of weight loss.

Has anyone had any personal experience with losing a large amount of weight? What worked for you?

I am considering having some plastic surgery eventually (after I reach my goal weight) because once skin stretches out it doesn’t just go back, but I would like to avoid using plastic surgery as a solution by itself.

Any advice would be great, thanks.

I am 17 years of age and I weigh 180lbs and I am 5′ 10". I am trying to drop down to 150lbs relatively fast. I have tried many various weight loss things such as the energy drink "Redline", counting calories, and there was also some weight loss equation that I was told about that calculates your daily calorie intake to lose 1lb a week but forgot what it was.

Anyways, my main concern is that I dont know what little things I can do to help lose weight. Would drinking lots of water and eating only when Im hungy instead of grazing help? I know I might sound a little slow in the head do to my curiousity in this subject. But I was hoping that the community of Yahoo! Answers would help me out and recommend something to help me lose weight, or give me any input of any kind?

(ex. any pills, workout routines, food intake, or any personal things you did to lose weight.)

I am going on vacation in a week and a half and need a quick weight loss solution?

I have been doing weight watchers and lost some weight but have not met my goal. I’d still like to lose 10 to 15 more pounds. I am currently 14 years old and last summer my dad found out that the aneurysm in his heart had grown vigorously with-in the year. Knowing this we went on a diet that was recommended by the doctor. The diet came with a meal book that was FILLED with various recipes that are very delicious, filling, and healthy; we also walked every other night for 3 miles. My dad had surgery to get his artery removed and replaced with a metal one. Now we still follow the guidelines but after I lost 30lbs, I have kept at a steady weight. I lift 10lb weights for 30 minutes before bed and participate in PE at school. I would like to lose at least 15lbs in the next month. Please come with any advise.

The advice can be recipes, meal plans, exercises, or whatever else you can think of.

ive lost about 23 lbs in weight doing 2 mile runs with some sprints in between and i eat right,but it seems like im stucked with my weight right now in spite the fact i do my exercises consistently 4x a week,and i still eat the same way,any suggestions,thanks i appreciate it

i am 13 and very active love playing sports. i try to eat healthy and i play at least 5 hours of sports a week. still i am a about 145 lbs.
